This research aimed to evaluate the strengthening of the quinoa production chain in the district of Los Morochucos - Ayacucho during 2020 - 2021 to generate marketing opportunities. A descriptive and correlational methodology was used to describe the status of quinoa producers and the relevant aspects for strengthening their production chain. A questionnaire was applied to 113 quinoa producers in the district of Los Morochucos, an important production center for the crop, to get a closer look at the local reality of the quinoa production chain and to identify opportunities for strengthening its production chain. It was found that associativity is the central axis in the quinoa production chain in the district and is significantly related (P<0.05) to access to new markets, improvements in production, promotion channels, and the way quinoa is negotiated and marketed; however, it is the weakest link in the production chain. The main areas for strengthening the production chain to improve marketing were identified as: 1. improving product quality and standardization, 2. strengthening producer associations, 3. innovation and technology transfer, 4. access to technical assistance and training, and 5. strengthening the logistics chain. Likewise, to generate more significant economic benefits, it is proposed to promote the implementation of short marketing channels with a reduction in the number of intermediaries, achieve the diversification of quinoa-based products to generate added value, access financing to invest in technology and infrastructure, strengthen associativity to boost negotiation and marketing capacity and promote the dissemination of products to increase access to new markets with better demands.
