The objective of this research was to evaluate the water needs of cucumber (cucumis sativus L.), in two varieties, the hybrid Diamante F1 and the conventional Marketmore 76 (F1 and F2) under three irrigation sheets of 100%, 75% and 50 % of crop evapotranspiration (P3, P2 and P1) under greenhouse conditions. The experiment was carried out at the Irrigation Research and Extension Center of the Water Resources Department of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering of the La Molina National Agrarian University, from June 2022 to December 2022. The experiment was based on a completely randomized block design with 2x3 factorial arrangement with 8 repetitions. The variables evaluated were: water requirement, yields, number of fruits, diameter, length and weight of the fruit, stem diameter, root depth, plant height, soil moisture, efficient use of water and crop coefficient. For fertilization, the products Polyfeed Start (8-52-17) 200 gr and Polyfeed Filled with grains (15-15-30) 6 kg were used. The results for the water requirement in the hybrid Diamante variety in its three treatments (P1, P2 and P3) were 720, 1100 and 1540 m3/ha respectively and for the Marketmore 76 variety in its three treatments (P1, P2 and P3). it was 520, 860 and 1200 m3/ha respectively. For the yield variable, the results indicated that the F1P2, F1P3 and F2P3 treatments were above the national average of 25 tn/ha. Specifically, they registered 34.5, 38.9 and 31.1 tn/ha respectively. For the fruit quality variable, the 100% ETc slices of the Diamante F1 and Marketmore 76 variety obtained the highest percentage of first-class quality (76.1% and 60.3%), (50% and 19.2%) in the 75% treatment. ETc and (17.5% and 21.2%) in the 50% ETc treatment, respectively. For the efficient use of water, the control treatments (F1P3 and F2P3) were 39.08 and 37.97 l/kg, for the treatments F1P1, F1P2, F2P1 and F2P2 they were 29.82, 31.32, 26.21 and 33.88 l/kg respectively. Finally, the coefficient of cucumber cultivation under greenhouse conditions was determined, in which a value of 0.2 was obtained in the initial stage, for the development stage in a range of 0.2- 1.2 and in the final stage it was a value from 1.2. In short, the best treatment was 75% ETc in the hybrid variety Diamante F1 because it had a higher yield (34.5 tn/ha) than the national average (25 tn/ha) and had a water efficiency (31.32 l/kg) below control treatment (39.08 l/kg).
