The calibration of a water distribution network is necessary for the detection and location of faults that can generate water and energy losses, the calibration process of a water distribution system basically consists of adjusting parameters that allow the results provided by the model matches to the data measured in the system; it usually alters pipe roughness and demands of the system. This work shows the hydraulic calibration of the sprinkler irrigation system for the UNALM gardens, the methodology comprises in carrying out the hydraulic evaluation that allowed the determination of system operating parameters, pressure and flow, in order to propose new scenarios. Subsequently, the calibration of the network was carried out with the estimation of the current pipes roughness. Owing to made the main source of information, the pressures were measured at different points in the network, through the correlation and differences between the measurements in the system and the simulated results with WaterCAD, in addition to the calculation of the obtained RMSE (root mean squar error) of these, the value of factor “C“ of Hazen-Williams was determined. The results obtained show good correlations between the measured and simulated pressures for scenarios, these are able to reflect accurately the operation of the system. On the other hand, the assigned values of 135 and 140 to the factor “C“ are those that represent the roughness current of the pipes, of towards the proposed irrigation schedule is made based on the obtained irrigation speed with the defined thanks pressures to the calibration. Finally, a GIS consultation system is developed in order to allow monitoring, extraction and showing the obtained data.
