The investigation obtained a liquid biofertilizer from tarwi effluent (Lupinus mutabilis) by homolactic fermentation, using cane molasses as a substratum and microbial consortium (Bio-lac). This process was developed in two phases. In the first one the homolactic fermentation was carried out on a laboratory scale, under a Completely Randomized Design (DCA) for five days. Nineteen treatments were worked with, but only twelve were considered. Other indicators taken into consideration werelou smell, cor and presence of mold and yeast. The statistical analysis covered an analysis of variability and the Tukey test taken as data the average pH and acidity percentage; it was also considered the cost-benefit analysis. From these results the best treatment was selected (T9) to take it to pilot scale. In he second phase the lactic fermentation was carried out to the selected treatment in a reactor with 20L capacity and during five following days the pH and the acidity percentage were evaluated. Previously, a physicochemical and microbiological test was also taken from tarwi effluent to see the effect of the Bio-lac and cane molasses by homofermentative process, two samples were taken for the physicochemical evaluation in LASPAF and microbiological one “Marino Tabusso” laboratory. At the end of the process a liquid biofertilizer was obtained and with little sedimentation. The quality of the biofertilizer (Tarwifer) was tested and its high nutritional value, stability, safety and trading power were checked. It was also examined the phytotoxicity of the biofertilizer in lettuce seeds with its harmful concentrations 1/100 and 100/100, while the concentration 0.1/100 was ideal for seedlings. Its capacity of nematicide was inspected over Meloidogyne incognita for a mortality test in J2 and the presence of alkaloids was confirmed by Dragendorff test.
