This monograph paper describes the design, implementation and monitoring of green business projects based on the strategy of implementing agroforestry systems, which were carried out as part of the use of my professional experience in the NGO Practical Action Practical Action's “Multistrata Agroforestry System“ (SAM for its spanish acronym) is an agroecological production model, composed by a set of ecosystem management technologies (soil, natural vegetation, agricultural and forestry crops) and is based on the following principles: The environmental sustainability of the ecosystem, market alignment and the use of clean technologies to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce emissions. Based on the implementation of the methodology in the field, the feedback from producers and the analysis of the market system of the coffee value chain, the implementation of green businesses was proposed as a source of economic income for producers, therefore reducing their vulnerability to external factors, complementing the SAM methodology with a more comprehensive approach.
