This study aims to determine the production of biogas from different ratios of cow manure and cheese whey, using fixed charge of anaerobic digesters with a constant temperature of 26°C ( ± 1) and controlled pH using hydroxide calcium. To facilitate the biodigestion processes the stabilization of the mixtures was conducted in two phases, the first aerobic and the second anaerobic. Mixtures of cattle manure and cheese whey in the proportions of 1:3 , 1:5 and 1:7 were evaluated, from which the best results were obtained in the ratio 1:7, generating biogas which exceeded 8 times its initial volume during the first week of starting biodigestion with a methane content of 27.67 %. After 60 days biodigestion more biogas was not obtained. To verify the stabilization of the liquid fertilizer of manure/cheese whey at a ratio 1:7 mixture was performed chemical microbiological and toxicity test at 10 and 60 days of digestion. Moreover, the influence of amonia concentration on growth of the microbial load and pH involved along the 8 weeks of biodigestion.
