This research work proposes a Solid Waste Management Plan for “El Naranjal” Native Community, located in the Tournavista district, Puerto Inca province and Huánuco department. For this, a diagnosis of the current situation of solid waste management was carried out, estimating gaps between demand and supply for each stage of management. The solid waste characterization study was carried out in 45 homes in the community, determining the generation of 0.4 kg / inhabitant, the density of 155.65 kg / m3 and the humidity of 77.36% of the household waste, from which a higher percentage of organic waste is observed in homes while in warehouses and communal premises a higher percentage of inorganic waste. On the other hand, non-usable waste ranges between 6% and 15% among the above-mentioned generation sources. In addition, the Analysis of Variance tests and the Tukey test were applied to compare the generation and density per characterization day and the composition per generation source. From the diagnosis and characterization, 3 lines of strategic action were determined with the objective of achieving the proposed goals in the short, medium and long term of the 2021- 2031 period.
