At present, certifications provide important support for sustainable agricultural production. In a context of global agricultural exports, certifications are considered a relevant factor for companies because they generate competitiveness, add value, facilitate access to new markets and create consumer confidence. This last factor is important since customers demand to know if the agricultural product they consume has been produced with social responsibility and care for the environment. The certification process for an agro-export company is key because the export of its products depends on it. For the purposes of this professional proficiency work, the ISO 9001: 2015 standard was implemented to optimize the export certification process of the Agrícola BGS SAC company, in relation to the regulations of the Food Safety Modernization Law (FSMA), Global GAP, Risk Assessment in Social Practices (GRASP) and Tesco Nurture. After the implementation of ISO 9001:2015. For this, an initial diagnosis of the certification process was carried out in relation to the ISO 9001 standard. Regulations were contrasted for subsequent implementation, defining processes, creation and updating of documented information. After the implementation, it is concluded that the certification process was optimized, achieving 100% compliance with the evaluated requirements of the aforementioned regulations, which were verified in an external certification audit. It should be noted that external audits are based on samples of the production processes involved in the farms (100% of the farm is not evaluated), which is why it is important to maintain the management system implemented by allocating the necessary resources.
