In this research, the action of effective microorganisms (EM) was evaluated in organic waste of human excreta from ecological toilets of Villa El Salvador - Lima, through a composting process; to be clear that today's recommendations for agricultural use of excreta are based on knowledge of the nutrient content in this, the excreted amounts, composition and availability of fertilizer for plants and treatment of excreta, which influences their properties. The methodology, considered two previous stages of the composting process itself and a step of bioassay to evaluate the final product on seed germination characteristics of hypersensitivity as those of Lactuca sativa sp. We worked with two treatments of 20 and 30 percent of EM inoculated samples sawdust aimed at different homes with which the company works to install ecological toilets and the gathering of waste excreta every seven days after delivery of the sawdust the inoculum in the two concentrations mentioned, as well as treatment worked with a control which did not present EM inoculum in the process. The extent of the physical, chemical and microbiological parameters at each stage of the research was conducted. It was possible to demonstrate the viability of the EM in the sawdust with low population loss during the evaluation period of fifteen days, and during anaerobic stage a progressive decrease of the pathogenic biota samples were observed as well as significant differences between the parameter evaluated. During the composting process the pH, EC, humidity, the C/N, are within normal values dictated by various rules suitable composting process. In the case of temperature, it was reached thermogenic phase three compost piles which ensured the elimination of pathogens and obtaining a good percentage of organic matter in the absence of batteries and heavy metals. Microbiologically treatment pile of 30 percent, presented absence of fecal coliform, Salmonella. E.coli and Lactobacillus higher concentration of inoculum that are 13 representatives of “EM“ is worth mentioning that the three tested batteries showed no parasites. The evaluation of the bioassay was performed with the prior preparation of compost tea of solid samples from the stack and allowed to evaluate the agronomic quality of the treatment stack of 30 percent, because this was the one with better conditions for making the whole process get at this stage 95 percent germination rate of lettuce seeds, and germination rate of 92,3 percent, a value that is above 80 percent concluding that the product is free from elements phytotoxic. Finally, it is noteworthy that one of the alternatives currently present in agriculture would be the implementation of Efficient Microorganisms (EM), which can be well used not only reduce pollution microenvironment (control of odors, flies), but also improve treatment this type of waste (human excreta) by reducing its willingness to drain water pollution and accelerating the stabilization of the process and reduce the environmental impact caused by this type of waste.
