The present research project was carried out in an area of premontane rain forest, equal to a plot of 1 hectare, located in the province of Leoncio Prado, department of Huánuco. The field work was carried out in the Reserved Forest of National Agraria University de la Selva. Additionally, the botanical specimens were deposited in the Herbarium of the Faculty of Forest Sciences of Agraria National University La Molina, for their respective treatment and identification, along with the support of the Missouri Botanical Garden. The current study provided the analysis of the contents of a permanent plot located in the province of Leoncio Prado, department of Huánuco. This allowed us to determine the diversity of the forest area, as well as to document the composition of the arboreal forest. In this way, it was possible to interpret the information obtained, together with pre-existing information, for a perspective of premontane rain forest management and conservation, thereby opening up the possibility of research in order to advance the response to questions of high-value application. Values of tree diversity, similar to other areas of the different premontane forest, were reported. The value of 83 species/ha, corresponded to the location of the study with the acronym Plot BRUNAS, in relation to other studies in the same area. However, it should be noted that the present study has taken the first step with regard to the botanical collections. These were almost always done on the basis of common names, which limited the veracity of the information. In addition, the relationship between the number of species and number of individuals, or Ratio of Mixture, represents an average of 0.14. The more abundant botanical families of trees for the area are Fabaceae and Euphorbiaceae, followed by others such as Moraceae, Myristicaceae, and Flacourtiaceae; with the most dominant being the Fabaceae and Moraceae, followed by Myristicaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Cecropiaceae
