The main objective of the present investigation is to calibrate the Curve Number of the Cañete basin, disaggregated in 1 1 sub-basins with, starting off as a control point the location of the hydrometric station the Socsi, with data of maximum annual flows since 1926. Regarding rainfalls, it has a total of 16 precipitations stations which has generated the map for of isohyets Return Periods of 100, 200, 500 and 1000 years. To develop this main objective has been used the software Hec-Hms where the most relevant parameters were the obtaining the Curve Number representative for each sub - watersheds and the design hyetograph, the first one obtained from the raster of Curve Number elaborated by the ANA, whose values were obtained by means of a geospatial processing with the extension Hec-Geo Hms, and the second one respect to the hyetograph, it was decided to select two synthetic hyetograph from the SCS, type I and II, being one of them that best fits at the rainfall pattern of the Cañete watershed, which will be deducted according to the results of the validation of the model. The model calibration was performed for 100, 200, 500 and 1000 year return periods, evaluated by an objective error function at the peak, with an allowed error of less than 5% to validate the hydrological model. From the first results, it is concluded that it is not possible to obtain a representative Curve Number that validates return distant periods, but it is possible for return near periods, it means a period of return of 100 with 200 and another of 500 with 1000. lt was validated the hydrological model obtaining better fit in the model that considers the storm type I, therefore is the pattern of precipitation that conforms to the real conditions ofthe Cañete watershed.
