Objective: to identify the relationship between low back pain mitigation and practices in the use of analgesics in the adult population of Urb. Las Flores and Urb. Mariscal Cáceres of Lima 2022. Materials and methods: A quantitative study was carried out with 207 participants, using a questionnaire of 33 questions during two months. Factors such as age, use of analgesics, perception of low back pain and associated risk factors were evaluated. Results: a diversity of analgesics used was observed, with 32% of occasional use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and 39% of opioids. The concentration of respondents aged 30 to 45 and 46 to 60 years indicated that low back pain predominantly affects middle-aged adults. Risk factors such as overweight, physical exercise and type of work were identified. Conclusion: the diversity in the use of analgesics and the varied perception of treatment efficacy underline the complexity in its management. The importance of more effective strategies and objective measures to evaluate treatment was highlighted, as well as the need for personalized preventive interventions. Further research is recommended to better understand this health problem.
