Objective: to carry out a systematic review based on primary original studies on the acceptance of generic medications in users of pharmaceutical offices in Peru within the period january 2011 to december 2022. Materials and methods: this research work was based on the compilation of articles of scientific interest and on Internet databases such as Renati, Alicia, Scielo Perú and Google Academic, searching for terms such as: “Acceptance level”, “Degree of acceptance”, “Acceptance factors” and “Impact of acceptance” compiling a total of 126 research works, of which 12 works were selected throughout Peru from January 2011 to December 2022 which met the established criteria . Results: it is evident that according to the sociodemographic dimension, the users who go to pharmaceutical offices in the highest percentage were female and their average age was around 30 years and they had completed secondary education, in addition, the users did not accept switching from brand name medications to generic ones. According to the dimension, information, access, consumption, and security, users had a medium acceptance in each of them. Conclusions: the results show that in Peru the acceptance of generic medications is regular, with an average of 52.26% (Table 1), but it is worth highlighting that acceptance is higher in the districts of San Juan de Lurigancho and Santa Anita.
