Materials and Methods: the research is of an explanatory type, with a quantitative approach, an experimental design, and a cross sectional cut. Extraction was carried out using the discontinuous maceration technique. Anti-inflammatory activity was determined using a 2% carrageenan concentration, with 0.05% betamethasone as the control. Results: the phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of Schinus molle revealed the presence of flavonoids, tannins, triterpenes, steroids, phenolic compounds, cardiotonic glucides, and free sugars. Additionally, a 63% humidity level was obtained, and the solubility test indicated that the hydroalcoholic extract is soluble in alcohol. A yield of 17.70% was also achieved. Furthermore, inflammation inhibition was recorded in the edema at a concentration of 10% hydroalcoholic extract combined with 10% magnesium chloride. Conclusions: - It was found that the cream containing hydroalcoholic extract of Schinus molle combined with magnesium chloride exhibited anti-inflammatory effects at concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, and 10%, with the 10% concentration demonstrating the best anti-inflammatory effect in albino rats. The result reflects superior anti-inflammatory activity compared to the standard sample.
