The presence of the problems of health they affect the individuals' quality of life, principally the related to the oral health, which represents one of the bigger problems of public health in kindergartens, in spite of counting on the existence of preventive capable technologies to dominate them, controlling them and or to eradicate them. The existence of risk factors stomatológic, they contribute negatively to in the status of health of the children of 0 6 years, they associated to his progenitors' series of originating factors regarding socioeconomic and cultural characteristics. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research work was to determine the risk of decay in children from 0 to 6 years of age, who attend the service of growth and development of the TÚPAC AMARU HEALTH CENTER, Cusco- 2017. METHOD: The study was descriptive, not experimental, transversal, field, quantitative, observational and prospective; we worked with an integrated population of 160 children from 0 to 6 years of age who attended the service of growth and development of the “Túpac Amaru Health Center“ Cusco -2017. In which the risk of caries was determined, the sampling was not probabilistic for convenience, they were evaluated through a clinical record, a questionnaire (instrument validated by the AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION). Data processing was performed using the SPSS program, descriptive statistics were used with frequency distributions and to establish whether there was a relationship between the variables, the Chi square test was used as a measure of significance, to search for the p value with a confidence interval 99%. RESULTS: According to the study carried out with the instrument validated by the American Dental Association, it was found that children from 0 to 6 years of age have a high risk of caries 47.5%, the risk of caries according to age is high, with 22.5%, in children between the ages of 4 to 6 years, the risk of caries according to sex, they have a high risk of caries with 28.8% male infants; the risk of caries according to the family's economic income, have an income lower than the minimum wage, where 31.3% of children have the risk of high caries; the risk of caries according to age of the mother between 15 to 25 years, 26.3% of children have a high risk of caries compared to mothers who have the age range between 25 and 35 years where 15% of children they present a risk of high caries. CONCLUSIONS: It was determined that the risk of dental caries is high in children from 0 to 6 years of age who attend the service of growth and development of the “Túpac Amaru Health Center“ Cusco -2017. It is the lack of awareness, promotion of oral health by the Health Center, poor dental hygiene and the inaccessibility of Integral Dentistry care.
