The objective of this assignment is to be able to evaluate different considerations that allow us to conclude if a strategic alliance between Cardon Rider and Shimano is viable for our objectives. To do this, we have limited our analysis to Mexico City, focusing on a specific target market with high end carbon fiber products and through 3D printing on Mountain and Speed bikes. We have carried out an analysis evaluating aspects of macroenvironment through PESTELG method and microenvironment, through analysis of Porter’s Five Forces. Likewise, an internal and detailed analysis of Carbon Rider and, on the other hand, Shimano, identifying business model, value chain, functional areas, VRIO analysis and SWOT, allow us to have a starting point to evaluate a strategic alliance with Carbon Rider.
