Camu camu (Myrciaria dubia) is one of the 553 fruits originating in Peru, which grows wild on the banks of rivers and in floodplains. This fruit native of our Amazon contains 40 times more vitamin C than lemon and 10 times more than orange. This vitamin essential for skin care because is a powerful antioxidant that allows to combat the visible signs of aging, and stimulates the production of collagen, which is responsible for providing firmness and elasticity to the skin. Therefore, it also helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Similarly, camu camu combats the damage caused by pollution and solar radiation. In response to this context, a business alternative is presented through the sustainable use of the properties of ascorbic acid obtained from a national fruit, which is camu camu through PLE technology or pressurized liquid extraction, which is a friendly alternative to the environment, because it does not use toxic solvents to obtain the vitamin. This study consists of the technical, economic, and social justification of the project. Likewise, the market study corresponding to the target audience will be carried out, which will be women who live in Metropolitan Lima, from 18 to 45 years, who belonging to A and B socioeconomic level who have a modern and sophisticated lifestyle, in to determine the demand for the project, establish the location of the plant, calculate the appropriate plant size for the project taking into account the project demand, productive resources, break-even point and technology. Then, the organization of the company, the organization chart, and the description of the functions of the jobs will be shown. Then, the total investment of the project will be detailed, which will be 1 322 229 soles, indicating tangible and intangible fixed assets; as well as working capital. Likewise, the viability of the project was determined, resulting in an economic NPV of 1 101 733 soles with an economic IRR of 50.74%; and with respect to finances, a financial NPV of 1 127 044 soles and a financial IRR of 68.02% were obtained. With reference to the social evaluation, an added value of 7 392 194 soles was obtained. Finally, the conclusions regarding the research work will be detailed, as well as the corresponding recommendations.
