The current research takes as an object of study a little business that specializes in textile confection mainly for schools and can be used as a starting point for analyzing the national spectrum of companies around the country that share similar features. When analyzing the main indicators of the company, delays in orders were identified as the main alert. Despite this, the margin and market share showed positive results and show that the company could continue growing and generating profits. A more detailed analysis of the production area was made after the system to be improved was chosen. Under the approach of the seven wastes, opportunities for improvement were identified to reduce routes and times during the production process. Simple measures such as organizing workstations and warehouses, labeling supplies, and relocating some environments, resulted in a 7% improvement in standard time along with a better work environment for operators. When evaluating the solution economically, an investment of almost 9 000 nuevos soles was taken into account, an amount that is quite accessible for the company and which is expected to be recovered in 2 years and 5 months. Financial indicators also showed positive results with an IRR of 54% and a NPV above 7 900 nuevos soles. In conclusion, it highlights the fact that a relatively simple solution such as redistributing and ordering the space reduces the time, distances, and activities in the garment production process. The improvement can be extrapolated to the rest of the products and its impact would be even greater
