The subject of this research project is to determine the market, economic, social and environmental viability of the implementation of a plant that produces an energy drink based on ginger and sweetened with panela. The market study carried out estimated a demand for the project in the fifth year of 948,482 bottles. Likewise, the target market is made up of all the people residing in Metropolitan Lima between the ages of 18 and 45 corresponding to the NSE “A”, “B” and “C”. According to the plant location study (at the macro and micro location levels), the best option could be the construction of the plant in the district of Ate in the city of Metropolitan Lima, this because it meets the basic needs of the project defined in the prefeasibility study such as proximity to raw materials, proximity to target market, rental cost, among others. Similarly, according to the technologies found, a plant layout was obtained for a capacity of 1,283,523 kg as a maximum size. On the other hand, based on previous studies and the elaborated Guerchet diagram, a plant layout of 500 m2 was determined with an installed capacity of 1 283 524 finished units. Finally, the research project of a plant that produces an energy drink based on ginger and sweetened with panela is profitable since it has an economic NPV of S/ 979 178 and an economic IRR of 41,19% higher than the opportunity cost of 20% determined. Likewise, there was a financial NPV of S/ 874 091 and a financial IRR of 56,31%.
