More than 49% of the rural population economy depend on agriculture. They are far from the city and many times do not have access to transportation routes, markets, supplies and information about agricultural technological innovations, which limits their productive profitability. The main purpose of this project is to show that the installation of a biodigester that generates bio-fertilizers can improve the yield of the Hass avocado crop by 35% in Huachacmaran farm. Three improvement opportunities were raised. The most important is related to the avocado crop, that showed a yield of 13.5 tons per hectare that is below the optimum yield in Huancavelica region. The root causes found are the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides. In addition, to have a gravity fed irrigation system makes a favorable environment for the humidity in the irrigation channels, improving the appearance and spread of fungus diseases in plants. For this, it was proposed to build a biodigester with a capacity of 10 m3 that is fed with compost and Guinea pig droppings to annually produce 12,000 liters of liquid biofertilizer and 6,000 kg solid biofertilizer, which will be used for the fertilization of 3,500 avocado plants. Biofertilizers will improve the quality of the soil and replace a part of the chemical fertilizers used. A drip irrigation system will be implemented, with 63 m3 geomembrane pools where workers will mix water and liquid fertilizer. The purpose is to take advantage of 95% of the irrigation water and reduce the humidity in the irrigation channels. The project is technically, socially, environmentally and economically viable. The biodigester technology has existed for more than 25 years in Peru and will improve the quality of life and competitiveness in the agricultural sector of the farm workers, reduce the environmental impact generated and has a positive NPV of S / 199 745.61. The project has a total investment of S / 164,362 with a payback period of 1 year, 6 months and 25 days.
