In the present investigation, we aim to understand the perception of the new information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the digital natives of universities in Metropolitan Lima among ages from 18 to 25 years. The theoretical framework develops information about how the ICTs are changing the conception of the digital natives about verbal, written, and gestural communication. In that sense, we used information of the experience of the participants from an observation and interviews. We interviewed twelve persons that had the standard of inclusion and exclusion. In that sense, we can note a preference for direct communication, in other words, presential. However, they consider that it is less common to be connected face to face because of the type of their life. Thus, they prefer to use information and communication technologies (ICTs). Also, they appreciate the quick access to the information and the facilities that it brings. Similarly, the use of these technologies helps the communication with their inner circle. Nevertheless, the interviewed say that there are negative aspects of the use of information and communication technologies. In that sense, they suggest controlling their use.
