The present preliminary study has as its main objective the evaluation of the technical, economic-financial and social feasibility for the installation of a production plant for recycled polyester yarn from PET containers (bottles). The market study established the objective of textile companies in the city of Lima whose production is based on synthetic material. Due to the nature of the product, the most effective sales channel is direct technical sales. Likewise, the projected annual demand for the last year of the study is approximately 112.24 tons of continuous recycled polyester yarn (6,235 boxes with 6 spools of yarn each). Regarding the location, the most tentative options were: Lima, Arequipa and La Libertad, winning the first due to its proximity to the market. The project plant will be located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, for the cheapest cost of land. The company has an installed capacity of 25,628.72 boxes / year, due to its bottleneck in the raw material selection operation, and a breakeven point of 4,933.61 boxes / year. On the other hand, the minimum area required for the productive area is 153.27 m² and the total area is 1,161 m². Furthermore, in the financial analysis, with an expected return by shareholders of 11.99%, the financial NPV was S / 44,773.57, the financial IRR resulting from the project was 15.52% and the average net return was 3.23%. The project is technically feasible, as the technology and processes necessary to carry out the operation are available, it is economically-financially viable, due to a good profitability, and that it has acceptance in its market due to the number of possible sales and the intention purchase based on the quality of the product, which can be favorably demonstrated due to the processes implemented.
