In the world of investments, decisions must be made about financial assets to generate profitability, considering the associated risk. An important aspect to consider is how prices work out. These are not only the result of the union of supply and demand, but also include psychological factors and external factors such as politics, macroeconomic and financial trends. In 1970, Fama postulated the Theory of Efficient Markets, which is a conventional theory that states that prices reflect all the information available in the market, to which all financial agents have access, so that extraordinary profits cannot be obtained compared to those generated by the market. Likewise, behavioral finance demonstrates the existence of cognitive and psychological biases that affect investors' decision making on asset prices. In this paper we will find that considering ourselves better investors than we really are is a psychological factor that drives us to make a higher volume of transactions, backed by the confidence of potential favorable outcomes, despite the fact that the market is already efficient.
