The textile tradition in Peru dates back to pre-Inca times and has been sustained with high quality in its inputs used, such as Pima cotton and alpaca fiber. Jory Maky S.A.C. is a family business in the textile sector dedicated to the manufacture of sweaters. In 2019 it had an approximate production of 10,000 units, which represented a 15% increase compared to the sales of the previous year. However, in this same year, 553 sweaters presented defects in terms of physical damage and size, which meant a loss of profit of $7,742. This thesis carries out the implementation of proposals to reduce the percentage of defective products in each of the subprocesses of the production of sweaters. The Lean Sig Sigma methodology is used in conjunction with DMAIC, based on a diagnosis to identify the possible causes that influence defective products. And then, based on this, develop proposals and implement them. Finally, the impact that these will have over time is validated.
