Since many time ago, there have development different control techniques applied to the industrial process control. For that, this work propose to design and implement fractional order PID controllers in incremental form inside controller blocks for their execution in an automatic programmable logic controller (PLC), in order to control the five principals variables in a industrial process. To carry out the goal described above, the university “Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología UTEC” has a industrial automation laboratory, where is located a multipurpose industrial plant and a supervisory control module for simulate real situations of industrial control process. This work is going to implement four controller blocks for flow, level, temperature and pressure industrial variables in a PAC ControlLogix controller with a user SCADA interface (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). Finally multiloop, ratio and cascade control strategies also are going to implement to validate the controller blocks functionality.
