The following study consists of the dynamic analysis of the mounting support of the reciprocating compressor (5-50 KW) that drives the air conditioning system of a longdistance bus. To prevent premature wear and the reduction of the available life of the mechanical components, it is necessary to determine the natural frequencies and the frequency response of the system. Thus, a methodology for analyzing the mounting supports of reciprocating equipment is proposed. A simplified mathematical model for dynamic analysis is developed in Matlab, which is also used to validate finite element simulations. Additionally, modal, harmonic, and random vibration analyzes are performed in ANSYS to determine the dynamic behavior of the system and assess the fatigue damage.
