This research work aims to: Determine the carbon stock in the aerial biomass of the Corralpampa forest, community of Chicón, province of Urubamba-2023. The development of the field work was carried out during the months of January and February 2023, the geographic information system was obtained using the Qgis 3.28.3 Software and GPS as an instrument; Regarding the determination of the carbon stock, the methodology was developed following the RAINFOR methodological manual, where a square plot of 100m x 100m (10000m ) equivalent to 1 hectare (ha.) was located and subplots of 20mx20m (400m 2 ) were defined. , where the native species were evaluated using the non-destructive method consisting of allometric equations; the number of individuals evaluated was 403 between the two species of Myrcianthes oreophil and Alnus acuminata. In the main evaluation plot, 4 0.80 meter long stakes painted red were placed, which served to demarcate the vertices of the 100m x 100m plot. In turn, 0.50 meter long stakes were placed every 20 meters, from which perpendicular lines were drawn for the formation of the 20m x 20m subplots. The results of the aerial biomass of the species Myrcianthes oreophila is 50,029 Tn/ha. and of the species Alnus acuminata is 7,358 Tn/ha. using the allometric equations; the total carbon stock of the Corralpampa forest (Myrcianthes oreophilia and Alnus acuminata) is 169,983 TnC/ha. in an area of 5.6906 hectares; How a forest conservation proposal was established due to the importance it provides for the ecosystem service of carbon capture and storage, climate regulation and culture (landscape).
