Formula SAE (FSAE) is a worldwide competition in which students from different universities test their engineering side in the design and manufacture of a formula-type vehicle. This competition is done since 1979 and started at the University of Houston. The University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) intends to participate in said competition by 2021, which is why this research focuses on the design of a tubular chassis that responds to design parameters and minimum factors required by competition regulations FSAE. For modeling and simulation, the following computer programs were used: Robot Structural Analysis, SolidWorks and Ansys. Tests required by regulations and safety tests from the literature were performed, following a static analysis and a dynamic analysis which validated the physical safety of the driver in a frontal collision.
