The objective of the research was to determine how social and economic factors influence the improvement of the attributes of the drinking water service that increases the economic well-being of the users of the province of Andahuaylas. A qualitative and quantitative investigation was carried out using the method of choice experiments of the mixed logit type. The experimental design was descriptive and analytical with a sample of 375 users of drinking water, selected at random. The applied technique was the survey with electoral cards that include social and economic aspects, attributes of drinking water and availability to pay. The results show that an improvement of the attributes; Having water 24 hours a day, recovering water sources, lagoons or springs, and water pressure positively affect the economic well-being of users. The results also showed that the social and economic factors: gender, age, number of household members, education and family income, were statistically significant. Likewise, users positively impact their willingness to pay with an additional increase in their monthly billing with the option of improving the continuity of drinking water 24 hours a day and the recovery of ponds or springs, finding statistically significant values at 1%. in relation to family income, the age of the head of the household and the level of studies. Households are willing to pay an additional amount in their tariffs for the improvement of the drinking water supply.
