Language allows people to express themselves and communicate with others. It requires certain personal and environmental conditions to develop successfully. Oral and written language are two fundamental tools for any human being. Orality is the day-to-day communication, it is vital and permanent as well as the center of our social, intellectual and emotional life. Nowadays, it is evident that students have great difficulties when they try to express themselves orally. This could happen for many factors, but the schools should be able to provide experiences that favor certain conditions that could help the students with different skills such as speaking, listening, being heard, participating, giving their opinion, solving problems, interacting effectively with their peers and adults, expressing their thoughts, feelings and emotions. It will be presented in an educational and reflexive mode the different theoretical references about communication and language, and their relationship with the teaching practices of oral expression in the classrooms with the purpose of developing relevant communication skills in the students. At the end, there will be presented an approach of different techniques and very useful activities to maximize the oral expression in students
