An adequate nutritional status diagnosed during a scholar is key to contributing to proper physical and intellectual development, which ensures a healthy future. The study's objective was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and alterations of the spine in scholars from schools - Santiago de Surco. It is a study of a descriptive correlational level, quantitative, cross-sectional. A semi-probabilistic sampling was applied by stratification, with a sample of 235 children from two schools: public and state college, whose nutritional status was evaluated by anthropometry and postural alterations, through different validated observational tests. It was found that 48.1% have an adequate nutritional status, and 51.9% have malnutrition due to both schools' excess or deficit. Likewise, it was found that 75.7% do not have any alteration of the spine, while 24.3% do. Regarding the chi-square test and bilateral significance, it was shown that there is a relationship between nutritional status and the spine's alterations. On the other hand, it was observed that there is no bilateral significance between gender and postural alterations, nor between gender and nutritional status.
