Abstract: Se planteó como objetivo identificar la relación entre la regulación emocional y la agresión en estudiantes de psicología de una universidad privada de Lima. Para ello se formuló un estudio con diseño descriptivo correlacional y comparativo. Se trabajó con una muestra de 128 estudiantes de psicología, los cuales fueron seleccionados de manera no probabilística-intencional. Ellos respondieron el Cuestionario de Regulación Emocional desarrollado por Gross y John (2003) y el Cuestionario de Agresión de Buss y Perry (1992). El principal resultado permitió establecer que entre ambas variables existe una relación positiva, de magnitud moderadamente débil (r = 223) y es significativa (p<0.05). Se concluyó que la regulación emocional se relaciona con la agresión. Por otro lado, al comparar cada variable por sexo no se encontró diferencias. Los resultados fueron analizados a partir de la literatura existente.
