The main objective of this research was to demonstrate the effectiveness of the “PEA” Program to favor the learning of mathematics in third grade students of primary. The investigation was of causal level, applied type and quasi-experimental design, carried out in IE Nª 7001 Andrés Bello (experimental group), and IE Nª 6003 Rebeca Carrion (control group), with 37 third grade students of primary education in Miraflores district, province and department of Lima. The inattention checklist and the pro-calculation test were used for both groups (experimental and control), and a test was applied to evaluate program in its dimensions: objectives, strategies, effect, degree of satisfaction and extension. After applying the Program “PEA” the results showed that students of the experimental group improved their learning of mathematics in enumeration, oral mental calculation, reading of numbers, oral comparison of two numbers in figures, determination of quantity, write in figures and alphabetic reading of numbers and writing in figures. The control group maintained the same results in the subtest, counting orally to tha back, positioning a number on a scale, perceptive estimation of quantity and correct number writing corresponding to the pro-calculation test.
