The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and perceived stress in the face of Covid-19 in remote workers of a private educational institution in Ate Vitarte. The study corresponds to a descriptive level, basic type, non-experimental design of the transversal correlational type. The sample is made up of 43 teachers of both sexes, aged between 25 and 55 years, who were evaluated with the Wong and Law emotional intelligence scale (validated and adapted in Peru by Ríos, 2019) and the related perceived stress scale. with the Covid-19 pandemic in Campo, Pedrozo-Pupo and Herazo. (validated and adapted in Peru by Del Carpio Cucho, 2021). The results show that the variables of emotional intelligence and perceived stress related to the Covid-19 pandemic present a “strong“ negative correlation of r= - 0.545. Likewise, a significant inverse relationship was found between the components of emotional intelligence and the perception of stress due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in the same way a significant and positive relationship was found between the components of emotional intelligence and coping with stress due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is concluded that the higher the level of emotional intelligence, the lower the perception of stress related to the Covid 19 pandemic in the participans.
