The present research is called Prevalence of risk of eating behavior disorders in a female population of high school students, where the objective that has been developed is to determine the prevalence of having risk of eating behavior disorders in female high school students of private educational institution in Breña, 2020. A non-experimental cross-sectional design was used. The population of the present study is made up of female high school students of private educational institution in Lima, a probabilistic sampling has been used and the instrument used was the form to collect sociocultural information of the students and the SCOFF questionnaire which gives guidelines to observe the hypothesis: “prevalence of risk of eating disorder in female students from 12 to 16 years of age“. Having made use of descriptive statistics, we were able to find results that allowed us to carry out the discussion process and formulate conclusions, among which the following stand out: 1) There is a 23.7% of female students at the secondary level of a private educational institution in Breña with a high risk of suffering bulimia nervosa, due to negative behavior patterns linked to the sensation of fullness, with the induction of vomiting; 2) 15.8% of the students are in the risk of suffering bulimia nervosa. 8% of the students are constantly worried about food intake, perceived by a feeling of lack of control over the amount of food they eat; and 3) 18% of the respondents consider themselves to be overweight even when social opinions indicate that they are underweight or “thin“, this demonstrates the high positive risk for this disorder of anorexia nervosa.
