Internationally, Burnout is one of the main afflictions in the different health professions that work with demanding populations, which has generated higher levels after the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Likewise, it has been identified that personal and professional characteristics can generate variability in the way stress is experienced and the development of Burnout. In Peru, there is evidence of Burnout in people and professionals who care for people with disabilities, but the existence of differences according to different sociodemographic characteristics has not been identified. The objective of the present research was to determine the existence of differences in Burnout and its dimensions in health care personnel caring for children with disabilities in Lima, according to their sociodemographic characteristics. A quantitative, descriptive, comparative, and cross-sectional design approach was used, with a sample of adults who work as care staff working with children with disabilities (n = 57). It was identified that there are no significant differences in the total Burnout score according to different sociodemographic characteristics, as well as no differences in the dimensions of Depersonalization and Personal Accomplishment. However, significant differences were found in the Emotional Exhaustion dimension according to age (p = 0.047) and whether they have children, with a higher level of burnout in younger professionals who do not have children (p = 0.046). The results are discussed, and multiple recommendations are proposed according to the evidence.
