Abstract: La satisfacción sexual es una respuesta a la interacción sexual, la cual trae un
bienestar físico y mental a la persona, además que es una experiencia subjetiva.
La autoestima es la percepción que tenemos sobre nosotros mismos, vendría
hacer la evaluación que nos realizamos esta respuesta puede ser positiva y
negativa, la cual influirá en el compartimiento y actitud de la persona. El presente
estudio tiene como principal objetivo conocer si existe relación entre la
satisfacción sexual y la autoestima en estudiantes universitarios de Lima
Metropolitana. La población son estudiantes universitarios de 18 a 25 años, el
número de la muestra es de 385 alumnos. Los instrumentos que se usaron
fueron la Escala de Satisfacción Sexual (ESS-V y M) de Ccasa y Santiago, el
Inventario de Autoestima de Coopersmith adaptada por Renfijo y una ficha
sociodemográfica. Obteniéndose los resultados que, si existen relación
significativa entre las variables de satisfacción sexual y la autoestima. Asimismo,
se confirma la hipótesis principal de la relación entre ambas variables.

Selfesteem is the perception we have about ourselves, it would come to make the evaluation that we make and the answer can be positive or negative, which will influence the behavior and attitude of the person. The main objective of this study is to find out if there is a relationship between sexual satisfaction and self-esteem in university students in Metropolitan Lima. The population is university students from 18 to 25 years old, the number of the sample is 385 students. The instruments used were the Sexual Satisfaction Scale (ESS-V and M) of Ccasa and Santiago, the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory adapted by Renfijo and a sociodemographic record. The results obtained are that, if there is a significant relationship between the satisfaction variables sex and self esteem.
