Currently, microorganisms are creating resistance to antibiotics, which is creating an uncomfortable situation in daily therapy, even more so if we add the appearance of new resistant pathogens that increase the difficulties for successful treatment. Therefore, the search for new natural products that require identification to be applied in daily therapy is again used. The present investigation had as objective. To determine the in vitro antibacterial effect of the in vitro ethanolic extract of Fragaria ananassa against Streptococcus mutans. For which the following hypothesis was formulated. There is antibacterial effect of Fragaria ananassa at 25% and 50% 75% against Streptococcus mutans. The methods used in the investigation are of the experimental type In vitro since the independent variable is intentionally manipulated avoiding the influence of extraneous variables, thus giving an internal validity, observation was used as a technique during the microbiological procedures, the measurement of the inhibitory halos of Streptococcus mutans and the results collection sheet as an instrument, the interpretation of the results will use the Duraffourd scale. The following results were reached. At 95% reliability according to the ANOVA test, there are significant differences regarding the inhibition halo on Streptococcus mutans regarding the exposure time at 25% concentration, (p = 0.000 < 0.05); Therefore, Tukey's post hoc test will be used to identify at which times there are significant differences regarding the inhibition of Streptococcus mutans. At 95% reliability according to the ANOVA test, there are significant differences regarding the inhibition halo on Streptococcus mutans regarding the exposure time at 50% concentration, (p = 0.000 < 0.05); Therefore, Tukey's post hoc test will be used to identify at which times there are significant differences regarding the inhibition of Streptococcus mutans.
