The present study is based on determining the relationship between ergonomic factors and the academic performance of the students of the machine-tool workshop of the Professional School of Industrial Engineering of the Andean University of Cusco, the research methodology is correlational since that the variables ergonomic factors and academic performance are measured and then it measures the degree of correlation and the way in which both variables act, it can be said that it is not only evaluative, but also prospective because it intends to delve into the phenomenon to be investigated, the quantitative approach is used and represents a non-experimental design investigation. For the study, the total population of 175 students was used using a non-probabilistic sampling at the discretion of the researcher; The instruments used were the Ergonomic Factors questionnaire and the result of the grades obtained to measure academic performance at the end of the 2019-II semester provided by the Management of the School of Industrial Engineering. The compilation of the data was in relation to the questionnaire processed through the statistical software SPSS version 25. The investigation showed that there is no significant correlation between the variables ergonomic factors and academic performance, the Cronbach alpha test has a confidence level of .90 % and an error level of 4.5 % according to the statistical instrument with a moderate intensity of Kendall's tau c correlation
