An information system was developed for the biomedical area of the maintenance and general services unit of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, to carry out the control and management of the processes that are carried out for the maintenance of biomedical equipment. The following describes what was done in each chapter. In the first chapter, the situation in which the biomedical area of the Regional Hospital of Cusco is currently found, the description of the processes that are carried out to bring control and management of maintenance to the different biomedical teams of the different areas of the institution, thus formulating the main problem and the problems that derive from it. Based on these problems, objectives are set to optimize and solve the problems of the area. As well as justify the importance of this implementation. In the second chapter, the international, national, local background and the theoretical bases that served as a reference for the present implementation are summarized, such as medical devices, types of maintenance, maintenance stages, maintenance management, programming tools, design software and the framework that was used and applied during the development of the project in this Scrum case. The third chapter shows the prospective implementation of the information system based on the agile methodology, we apply the Scrum framework for the development of the project. The assigned roles, the agile tools to use, the collection of information and identified requirements, user stories, work periods, the operation of the information system is also explained through prototypes and process modeling, showing a before and a later, the feasibility study of the investigation and the expected situation of the project. The fourth chapter shows the project development schedule, the stages of the process followed, established tasks and activities, and the resources used for the development of the proposed information system. The results of the implementation of this project give us a computer product that allows us to achieve the goals satisfactorily. It was possible to establish an inventory, technical sheet, supplier registry, user registry, preventive maintenance programming, maintenance history. These automated processes make it possible to plan, monitor, and have control over the maintenance of biomedical equipment.
