The thesis titled “SOCIOCULTURAL FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE COVID-19 VACCINE IN THE ADULT POPULATION OF THE MACARI DISTRICT, PUNO 2023“ aimed to determine the sociocultural factors associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine in the adult population of the Macari District-Puno 2023. The methodology employed a quantitative approach, a correlational scope, a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. It involved a sample of 128 residents of the Macari district who were administered a questionnaire and a document observation sheet to assess the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination doses. The results identified within the social factor showed that 68.8% reside in urban areas. In the cultural factors, it was found that 86.0% are proficient in the QuechuaSpanish language, 68.8% are of the Catholic religion, 58.6% do not have a habit of getting vaccinated, 72.6% of the population never trusts COVID-19 vaccination, and 59.3% express distrust as the reason for not accessing the vaccine. Regarding the sociocultural factors associated with vaccine acceptance, significant values were found for the area of residence (2nd dose p=0.001 and 3rd dose p=0.002). Concerning the cultural factors associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine, significant values were found for religion (2nd dose p=0.000 and 3rd dose p=0.002), beliefs (2nd dose p=0.000 and 3rd dose p=0.001), myths (2nd dose p=0.000 and 3rd dose p=0.001), and trust in vaccination (2nd dose p=0.045 and 3rd dose p=0.001).
