It was a cross-sectional descriptive study in a sample of 64 students from the initial level. On the general characteristics of the children studied 70.3% is made up of students whose age is 4 years, of which 53.1% are children with males whose mothers in 50% are between 21-39 years higher education in most with household income of 501-750 soles. 58% of the sample of children refrigerate at midmorning, 56.3% consume snacks such as sandwiches, bread with cheese, meat, eggs and others., 62.5% of children eat meat 2-3 times a week, 70.3% consume fruits daily and 54.7% of children consume cereals and flour 2 to 3 times per week. Regarding the nutritional status found that: 79% of children are normal to the evaluation indicator weight / age, 1% overweight and 9% malnourished, of which suggests that less than 11% of children are global malnourished. On the Size / indicator 52.6% they are normal and 47.4% have chronic malnutrition. While on the weight / height indicator 79% have normal diagnosis and 9% had acute malnutrition.
