The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem in pregnant women between 18 and 35 years of age treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital, 2023. Quantitative study, descriptive, analytical type, non-experimental cross-sectional design, hypothetical - deductive method, population made up of 496 pregnant women aged 18 to 35 years treated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto, with non-probabilistic sampling, the sample being 300 pregnant women. The survey was used, the instruments were Pérez's FF-SIL family functioning scale and Rosenberg's self-esteem scale. The information was analyzed using SPSS v25 software, obtaining the following results: Family functioning variable, 93.3% of pregnant women present a moderately functional level, dysfunctional in 6% and severely dysfunctional in 7% and the self-esteem variable 64% showed average level of self-esteem, 20.7% low and 15.3% high. Concludes: There is a statistical relationship between family functioning and self-esteem in pregnant women between 18 and 35 years of age treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital (X2C= 20.237; gl=4; p=0.000).
