This research work aims to determine the association of occlusal characteristics with age and gender in children from 3 to 5 years old in I.E.I MI mundo infantil, Iquitos 2023, where a basic descriptive level study was used, selecting 206 as a sample children who were used an observation sheet to collect information. The results reveal no significant relationship between age and the relationship of the right canine (p = 0.596), nor between gender and this relationship (p = 0.098). There is also no significant association between the relationship of the left canine and age (p = 0.186) or gender (p = 0.164). This suggests that neither age nor gender are determining factors in the position of the canines. Likewise, overbite does not show a significant association with age (p = 0.538) or gender (p = 0.277); For its part, vertical overbite is not statistically significantly related to age (p = 0.484) or gender (p = 0.313); Finally, the association between posterior crossbite and age is not significant (p = 0.206); However, a significant association is observed between posterior crossbite and gender (p < 0.05), indicating that gender may influence the presence of this oral condition.
