One of the biggest problems facing the world is the contamination of water resources, due to the main effect of anthropogenic activity. The present research was about the Evaluation of the Bacteriological Quality of the Lagoon of Quistococha Tourist Park, during the rainy and summer season in 2018, water samples were taken at three specific points around the lagoon. The quantitative method of Multiple Fermentation Tubes expressed in terms of the Most Probable Number (MPN/100mL) was used. The indicators used for the bacteriological evaluation were Total Coliforms and Thermotolerant Coliforms. Results indicated that all the monitored points showed high levels of contamination, synthesizing that the values during the rainy season fluctuated between (2100 - 2800 NMP/100mL) Total Coliforms, in parallel to Thermotolerant Coliforms ranged between (40 - 430 NMP/100mL). Similarly, the values in the summer season showed values between (200 – 4600NMP/100mL) Total Coliforms, to finish (43 – 430NMP/100mL) Thermotolerant Coliforms. We concluded that Quistococha Tourist Park Lagoon during the year 2018 was not suitable for its recreational use, because the values of the bacteriological parameters exceeded the Peruvian Standard for Environmental Water Quality, according to Supreme Decree No. 002 - 2008 MINAM, CATEGORY 1: Population and Recreational – Surface waters destined for recreation, ITEM B1: Primary Contact “TOTAL COLIFORMES < 1000-NMP/100mL” and “THERMOTOLERANT COLIFORMS < 200-NMP/100mL”.
