Seroprevalencia de Citomegalovirus en Donantes de Sangre del Centro de Hemoterapia Banco de Sangre Tipo II Del Hospital III Iquitos Essalud – 2022

Abstract

El presente estudio estuvo orientado a resolver el siguiente problema de investigación: ¿Cuál es la seroprevalencia del Citomegalovirus en donantes del Centro de Hemoterapia y Banco de Sangre Tipo II del Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud durante los meses de Enero a Diciembre del 2022? El objetivo de Investigación fue: Determinar la Seroprevalencia de Citomegalovirus en donantes del Centro de Hemoterapia y Banco de Sangre Tipo II del Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud durante los meses de Enero a Diciembre del 2022. Material y métodos: La presente investigación es de tipo descriptivo y retrospectivo. Se trabajó con una muestra de 96 donantes de sangre a quienes se le realizo la prueba del anti citomegalovirus Ig M Para el análisis de la información se utilizó el paquete estadístico de SPSS V.25. Resultados: La seroprevalencia del Anti citomegalovirus fue de 7.29%, según el sexo el masculino 5 (71.43%), según la edad el rango más frecuente fue de 26 a 35 años con 3 (42.86%), según procedencia fue urbana con 4 (57.14%). Conclusiones: La Quimioluminiscencia demostró una especificidad diagnóstica del 99.43%, siendo la principal herramienta confiable en el diagnóstico del citomegalovirus. La alta prevalencia de citomegalovirus del 7.29% en donantes de sangre evaluados en nuestra investigación resalta la importancia de este análisis en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de esta infección.

The present study was aimed at solving the following research problem: What is the seroprevalence of Cytomegalovirus in donors of the Type II Hemotherapy Center and Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud during the months of January to December 2022? The objective of the Research was: To determine the Seroprevalence of Cytomegalovirus in donors of the Hemotherapy Center and Type II Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud during the months of January to December 2022. Material and methods: This research is descriptive and retrospective. We worked with a sample of 96 blood donors who underwent the IgM anti-cytomegalovirus test. For the analysis of the information, the SPSS V.25 statistical package was used. Results: The seroprevalence of the Anti-cytomegalovirus was 7.29%, according to the sex the masculine 5 (71.43%), according to the age the most frequent range was from 26 to 35 years with 3 (42.86%), according to origin it was urban with 4 (57.14%). Conclusions: Chemiluminescence demonstrated a diagnostic specificity of 99.43%, being the main reliable tool in the diagnosis of cytomegalovirus. The high prevalence of cytomegalovirus of 7.29% in blood donors evaluated in our research highlights the importance of this analysis in the diagnosis and treatment of this infection.
