This research seeks to establish the difference that exists between capillary puncture techniques and venipuncture techniques to obtain hematocrit in children from 1 to 5 years old, which are essential for the control, diagnosis and evaluation of children and was carried out in from 1 to 5 years old attended at the Health Center - 4 Morona Cocha, in the city of Iquitos. The · research is framed within medical research studies, the research falls on the cross-sectional study, depending on the type of result it is analytical intervention type and depending on the randomization it is quasi-experimental. The population is made up of 150 children who were treated at the Health Center - 4 Morona Cocha, in the city of Iquitos, in the months of May - July, 2015. The study sample was 80 children of both sexes who met the inclusion criteria of the research, to whom observation was applied as a technique in the application of venous and capillary puncture techniques, and as an instrument the recording sheet was used to record the amount of hematocrits according to the technique. employed The results of these children's tests were analyzed through the package Statistical for research in social sciences SPSS v20, using the parametric t-test, student gave us a p-value of 0.000124, being less than the significance level of .05, we accepted the alternative hypothesis, that is, the blood extraction technique by venipuncture would have a significant difference with the capillary puncture technique for obtaining hematocrits in children from I to 5 attended at the Health Center - 4 Morona Cocha, in the city of Quitos, in the months of May - July, year 2015.
