The objective of the research was to determine the measurement between public investment and economic growth according to statistical reports in the San Martin region in the periods 2017 - 2021. The methodology was descriptive correlational and with an explanatory approach, with a nonexperimental design. The population was made up of the existing documentary heritage in the regional government of San Martin of the period. The results showed that there was no direct and significant relationship between public investment and economic growth in the San Martin region, the Pearson correlation statistic is -0.600, with this result it isshown that there is a negative correlation. In the relationship between public investment in education and economic growth, the Pearson correlation statistic shows us - 0.651, with this result it is shown that there is a negative correlation. The relationship of public investment in urban infrastructure with growth, the Pearson correlation is 0.247, with this result it is shown that there is a positive average correlation between public investment in urban infrastructure. The relationship of public investment in health with economic growth shows us the Pearson correlation statistic is -0.565, with this result it is shown that there is a negative correlation.
