To determine the factors associated with prematurity in pregnant women treated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto, 2021. Methodology This research was analytical, retrospective, observational, case-control design; with a population consisting of 2070 pregnant women with delivery care at the Regional Hospital of Loreto, 2021 and a sample of 231 cases and 231 controls who met the selection criteria. Results Among the sociodemographic factors, a significant relationship was found with age <20 years (0.031) in addition to a 3.0-fold risk of prematurity (OR= 3.0; 95% CI 0.31-29.3). The obstetric factors were; not having Prenatal Care with a 3.8-fold risk (OR=3.8; 95% CI 1.04-13.8); as well as 2.1 times antecedent risk of prematurity (OR=2.1; CI 95% 1.12-4.11). Preeclampsia has a significant relationship (0.001) as well as a 2.1-fold risk of prematurity (OR= 2.1; 95% CI 1.32-3.33). Conclusion The main risk factors associated with prematurity in pregnant women were; no Prenatal Care (OR=3.8), illiteracy (OR=3.0), History of prematurity (OR= 2.1) and Preeclampsia (OR=2.1).
