The objective of this research was to determine the type of managerial leadership that the managers of the Iquitos Benevolent Society possess, as well as interpersonal relationships and the way of making decisions, this under Douglas McGregor's X-Y Theory. The methodology was descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental; counting the workers of the Iquitos Benevolent Society as a population, with a sample of 45 employees. It is concluded that, a high percentage of 57.8% of the population goes from 40 to older, and they have more than 10 years of time working. Around half of them, the 48.9%, don’t have working stability, which affects on their perspective that at any moment can lose their job. When it comes to the interpersonal relationships, almost half of the behavior is bad and regular. Between peers (managers) only a reduced group 20% considers that it’s excellent. And the behavior that the board has with the managers only 24.4% is good. About decisions making, around something more than the half, 51% considers that there’s few analysis to get to this decision and only 11.1%, highlighted that decisions making are taken in team; moreover 42.2%, doesn’t sanction. People rate to the manager as a good boss.
